What if we could tell a timeline history of matchbox in the form of the product itself?
this question leads to this project/exploration on thai matchbox, a common household object with long history.
all design elements derives from the actual selling matchbox as in the market. the apperance of the recreated version is similar to the actual existing parcel, but when it is unwrapped, it unfolds as a small poster containing more than 100 designs of the original matchbox labels in thailand.
each of the matchbox contains a brief history on them in order for the audience to experience and learn the timeline by themselves - by rearranging matchboxes according to the cover pattern sequences. the graphics on the cover show the significant icon on each period.
